About BK Communications, Inc.
BK Communications, Inc., provides a wide array of communications
services for small to mid-sized businesses and not-for-profit organizations.
The entity is led by Elizabeth Bette Kovach who has more
than 30 years of corporate communications leadership experience.
She
worked at Bethlehem Steel Corporation from 1976 until 2003 where she served in
corporate communications positions managing media relations, employee
communications and publications, product marketing, executive speech writing,
and issues management. Bette's last position with the company was Director of
Corporate Communications where she was the company spokesperson during times of
extreme crisis. While with Bethlehem Steel, she also held leadership positions
with industry-wide communications initiatives through the American Iron and
Steel Institute (AISI), the industry's main trade association. With AISI, she
chaired the communications committee and was Bethlehem Steel's lead
representative for industry communications campaigns on trade and the
environment.
A published author,
Bette teamed with award winning photographer Peter Treiber to produce Inside Bethlehem
Steel: The Final Quarter Century.
Bette holds a Bachelor of
Arts degree in journalism from Moravian College and has completed extensive
graduate work in business administration. She lectures on crisis
communications, employee communications, and media
relations.
